Most children are taught to consume books โ not create them. eBook creation flips this completely. A child who finishes this course has not just learned a skill. They have produced something real that the world can read.
This skill crosses multiple disciplines: writing and research (academic excellence), design and layout (creative technology), and publishing and distribution (entrepreneurship and digital marketing). It is one of the most well-rounded courses in the Learnovo Kids programme.
Children learn how to pick a topic they are passionate about, research it properly, and organise their ideas into a structured outline. Nigerian children have produced eBooks on topics including Yoruba mythology, climate change in the Niger Delta, how to start a small business, and coding tutorials for beginners.
Writing for an eBook is different from writing a school essay. Children learn to write in a clear, engaging, age-appropriate style โ with chapter structure, headings, and a style that keeps readers engaged.
Using tools like Canva for Education and Google Slides, children design their cover, internal pages, headers, and visual elements. This section connects directly to lessons from the Graphic Design course.
Children learn how to export a finished PDF, how to share it online for free or sell it, and how digital publishing platforms work. Some students have distributed their eBooks on Payhip, Selar, and WhatsApp communities.
