Give Your Child the Power to Create Cartoons, Characters & Animated Films
Nigeria's most engaging online animation course for children aged 7–17. Live classes, real projects, and a finished animated film your child makes themselves.
Every cartoon your child loves was made by someone — a person who once sat exactly where your child sits now. At Learnovo Kids, that person becomes your child. From Abuja to Lagos to Port Harcourt, we are turning Nigeria's most imaginative young minds into real animators.
Why Animation Is One of the Best Skills Your Child Can Learn in Nigeria Right Now
This is not a drawing class. This is career preparation disguised as the most fun your child will ever have learning.
Nigeria's creative and tech economy is growing faster than the talent supply. Netflix has already invested in original Nigerian animated content. Advertising agencies in Lagos and Abuja, streaming platforms, game companies, and edtech startups across Nigeria are all looking for animators — and they cannot find enough trained ones.
Children who start learning animation between ages 7 and 17 enter this market years ahead of university graduates who are only discovering it at 21 or 22. The competitive advantage of starting early is enormous — and at Learnovo Kids, your child starts today.
📊
Nigeria's animation and creative media industry is valued at over $1 billion and growing. Streaming platforms are actively commissioning Nigerian animated content. Children learning animation today are preparing for a market that will be hungry for their skills within 5–10 years.
Beyond the career case — animation builds something even more important: the confidence that comes from creating something real. When your child's classmates see a character they designed walking, talking, and telling a story on screen, something changes in them. They stop thinking of technology as something that happens to them and start seeing themselves as people who make things happen.
💡
For parents wondering if their child is ready: Ask them one question — "Have you ever wished one of your drawings could move?" If the answer is yes, they are already thinking like an animator. Enrolment takes 5 minutes. The impact lasts a lifetime.

What Happens Each Week
Every session is live, hands-on, and project-based. Your child is always making something — never just watching or listening.
🎬 Animation Course Curriculum — 8 Weeks
2 sessions per week · 60–90 minutes per session · Live instructor-led
Week 1–2
Storytelling & Character Design
Children develop their own original characters — with personality, expression, and a story worth telling. They learn the basics of visual storytelling, storyboarding, and planning an animated sequence before touching a digital tool.
Week 3–4
Frame-by-Frame Animation
Children discover how the illusion of movement is built — one frame at a time. Using beginner-friendly tools, they animate their characters walking, jumping, talking, and expressing emotion. This is the week everything clicks.
Week 5–6
Scene Building, Sound & Voice
Children design backgrounds, compose scenes, and add dialogue, sound effects, and background music. Their animation starts feeling like a real film. Many students record their own voice acting in this phase.
Week 7–8
Final Film, Render & Portfolio Showcase
Children complete, render, and present their finished animated short film to instructors, classmates, and parents in a live showcase session. They receive their certificate and a portfolio pack to keep and share.

"
My daughter Zara animated a short film about her grandmother's village after the course. She showed it at a family gathering in Abuja and every single adult in the room asked who made it. She was 9 years old. I was not prepared for that moment.

I used to just watch cartoons. Now I make them. I animated a short film about Lagos traffic that made my whole class laugh. My school asked me to create the intro animation for their end-of-year assembly. I'm 12.

My son never sat still for anything. During the animation course he spent 4 hours on a Saturday working on his film without being asked. The focus and patience this course built in him was worth more than the skill itself.

Learnovo Kids didn't just teach my daughter to animate. They taught her to think creatively, plan her ideas, and see them through to completion. Those are life skills. The animation is a bonus.

Questions Parents Ask Before Enrolling
We have answered the most common ones here. For anything else, WhatsApp us directly — we respond fast.
No drawing experience is required at all. We teach character design from absolute scratch — starting with basic shapes and building from there. Some of our best animators started with stick figures and finished with fully expressive animated characters. The skill is in the process, not the starting point.
A laptop or tablet is recommended. FlipaClip works on tablets and some smartphones. Adobe Animate works on laptops. We advise on the best affordable setup for your budget during onboarding — and in most cases, what your child already has at home is sufficient to begin.
Yes — with the right curriculum and instructor. Our Starters programme is specifically designed for ages 7–10. The tools, projects, pace, and teaching style are all built around how young children learn best. We have had 7-year-olds produce animations that surprised their own parents.
Yes, every session is live with a real instructor over Zoom or Google Meet. Classes are kept small so every child gets individual attention. Your child is not watching pre-recorded videos — they are creating, asking questions, and getting feedback in real time during every session.
Yes — animation is one of the richest gateway skills in the digital world. Children who learn animation naturally develop skills that feed directly into graphic design, video editing, game development, and digital art. Many of our animation students go on to take multiple other courses, using the creative confidence they built here as a foundation.
Your child receives a certificate of completion and a portfolio pack of their work. They can continue practising independently with the tools and skills they have learned, enrol in the next level, or explore any of our other 15 courses. Many of our animation graduates go on to take graphic design, digital art, or game development next.
