Give Your Child the Skill That Will Define the Next 50 Years of Every Career
Nigeria's first generative AI course designed exclusively for children aged 7โ17. Live online classes across Abuja, Lagos, Port Harcourt, and all of Nigeria โ teaching children to use, direct, and understand AI before it defines their future without them.
Artificial intelligence is no longer something that happens in Silicon Valley. It is already being used in Nigerian hospitals, banks, schools, media houses, and businesses. The children who understand how to use AI โ not just consume it โ will have a profound and permanent advantage in every career of the future. And the future is arriving faster than any of us expected.
Why Generative AI Is the Most Important New Skill Nigerian Children Can Learn Right Now
This is not a trend. It is a fundamental shift in how the world works โ and Nigerian children deserve to be on the right side of it.
Generative AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, Midjourney, and dozens of others are already being used by Nigerian businesses, universities, and professionals to work faster, create more, and solve problems that previously required entire teams. The workers and creators who understand how to direct these tools will earn more, produce more, and advance further than those who do not.
But here is what most people miss: the quality of what AI produces depends entirely on the quality of the instructions you give it. This skill โ called prompt engineering โ is one of the most valuable new literacies of the 21st century. It is also completely learnable. Children as young as 11 can master it โ and when they do, the results are genuinely extraordinary.
๐
The World Economic Forum estimates that AI literacy will be among the top 5 skills employers seek globally by 2027. In Nigeria, where tech adoption is outpacing formal education, children who understand generative AI today are preparing for roles that do not yet have names โ and earning potential that current salary surveys cannot yet measure.
At Learnovo Kids, we do not just hand children an AI tool and let them play with it. We teach them how it works, why it sometimes fails, what its ethical implications are, and how to use it as a creative and professional collaborator โ not a shortcut. Children who understand AI this deeply are the ones who will build the next generation of Nigerian tech companies.
๐ก
For parents concerned about AI and schoolwork: Our course explicitly teaches children to use AI as a tool they control โ with full understanding of its limitations and a strong sense of academic integrity. Children who truly understand how AI works are actually better equipped to use it honestly, and to recognise when others are misusing it. This is the antidote to AI-assisted cheating, not the cause of it.
The Four Pillars of This Course
Every pillar is taught through hands-on projects โ not slides and definitions. Children leave each session having made something real with AI.
๐ง
Understanding AI โ Not Just Using It
Children learn what AI actually is โ how it learns from data, what it can and cannot do, and why it sometimes produces wrong or biased results. This critical understanding prevents over-reliance and builds healthy, intelligent scepticism. Nigerian children who understand AI's limitations are safer and more capable than those who simply trust everything it produces.
๐ฌ
Prompt Engineering Mastery
The art of writing precise, detailed, and creative instructions that consistently produce high-quality AI outputs. Children learn to iterate, refine, and structure prompts like professional AI specialists. A child who masters prompt engineering can produce work with AI that would otherwise require a team of designers, writers, and analysts.
๐จ
Creative AI Projects
Children use AI to generate original artwork, write and edit stories, create podcast scripts, build educational content, and design marketing materials. Each project is uniquely Nigerian in context โ children create content about their communities, culture, and ideas. By the end, they have a portfolio of AI-assisted creative work they are genuinely proud of.

AI Ethics, Safety & Responsibility
Why AI can be biased. How it can be misused for fraud, misinformation, and manipulation โ especially relevant in Nigeria's online environment. What the ethical responsibilities of an AI user are. This module connects directly to our Digital Citizenship course and is one of the most discussion-rich, thought-provoking parts of the whole programme.
What Your Child Will Be Able to Do

What Happens Each Week
Every session is live, hands-on, and project-based. Children are always creating โ never passively watching or memorising definitions.
๐ค Generative AI Course Curriculum โ 10 Weeks
2 live sessions per week ยท 60โ90 minutes per session ยท Small groups ยท Real instructor
Week 1โ2
What AI Actually Is โ and Why the Prompt Is Everything
Children demystify AI โ understanding how it learns from data, what makes it useful, what makes it fail, and why the instruction you give it determines everything about the result. They run their first prompts and immediately experience the difference between a vague instruction and a precise one.
Week 3โ4
Prompt Engineering โ The Skill That Makes AI Powerful
Children learn the craft of prompt writing: how to specify tone, format, audience, length, and context. They practise with real creative and professional challenges โ writing social media posts for Nigerian businesses, creating study guides, generating story ideas โ and refine their prompts until the output is genuinely impressive.
Week 5โ6
AI for Creative Work โ Images, Stories, and Content
Using AI image generation tools, children create original artwork for their projects. They co-write stories with AI, produce podcast scripts, and design social media content. Nigerian culture, folklore, and community are used as the creative foundation โ children are not making generic content, they are making their own.
Week 7โ8
AI for Problem-Solving โ Real Nigerian Challenges
Children identify a real problem in their community โ traffic, school resources, local business, health information โ and use AI tools to research, analyse, and prototype a solution. This is the most inventive and impactful week of the course, and often the one children remember most vividly.
Week 9โ10
AI Ethics, Safety & Final Project Presentation
Deep exploration of AI bias, misinformation, fraud, and copyright. Children debate real scenarios โ deepfakes, AI-written essays, AI-generated news โ and form their own ethical positions. The course concludes with each child presenting their final AI project to instructors, classmates, and parents in a live showcase.
โญ Real Student Story
"My son used AI tools he learned at Learnovo Kids to research and write a 12-page report on climate change in the Niger Delta for his school project. His teacher wanted to know how he structured and researched it so well. He showed her exactly how he used AI as a research partner โ without it writing the report for him. She asked him to demonstrate it for the class."

I was afraid AI would make my son lazy. The opposite happened. He now questions everything AI produces, fact-checks it, and rewrites it in his own voice. He is more critical and thorough than he has ever been โ because he understands the tool, not just the output.

Questions Parents Ask Before Enrolling
We have answered the most common concerns here. WhatsApp us directly for anything specific to your child's situation.
Absolutely not โ and this is the most important question to answer. The course explicitly teaches children to use AI as a thinking and research partner while maintaining their own voice, ideas, and intellectual integrity. Children who complete this course are far more capable of identifying AI-generated content and far less likely to misuse it, because they understand exactly how it works and what its limitations are.
Not at all. We start with concrete, visual, immediately understandable explanations and build complexity gradually. Many of our 11 and 12-year-old students produce more creative and thoughtful AI projects than adults who use the same tools daily โ because children's imaginations are less constrained by assumptions about what AI "should" produce. Curiosity is the only prerequisite.
We use age-appropriate versions of tools including ChatGPT (with educational account settings), Google Gemini, Canva AI, and selected image generation tools โ all used with appropriate content filters active. Every tool is reviewed for age-appropriateness before being introduced, and all AI activities are supervised by the instructor during live sessions.
The specific tools will evolve โ but the underlying skills we teach will not. Prompt engineering, critical evaluation of AI output, understanding of how machine learning works, and ethical reasoning about AI are foundational competencies that will apply to every AI tool that exists today and every tool that will exist in the next 20 years. We teach principles, not just platform features.
A laptop or desktop computer with a stable internet connection, and a curious mind. No prior coding or AI experience is required. A Gmail or Google account is helpful as some tools we use are Google-based. We provide a full equipment and account checklist to every family during onboarding, one week before the course begins.
Yes, and it works especially well in combination. Generative AI pairs powerfully with Graphic Design, eBook Creation, Coding, and Web Design โ children who take these courses together can use AI to accelerate and enhance work they would otherwise do manually. We advise each family during onboarding on the best course combination for their specific child.
